1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms form an agreement between you ("you", "the user") and hexrgb.com ("we", "us", "the site"). By visiting any page of hexrgb.com, using any of the tools, or referencing any of the content, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
hexrgb.com provides free, browser-based color tools — a HEX/RGB/HSL/RGBA converter, a palette generator, a WCAG contrast checker, and a CSS named colors reference — together with editorial articles about color formats and accessibility. The service is provided "as is" and may be changed, expanded, or removed at any time.
No account is required to use the site, and the tools do not transmit the color values you enter to any server.
3. Acceptable use
You may use hexrgb.com for personal, educational, and commercial design or development work, including looking up color values for projects you ship to clients or release publicly.
You agree not to:
- Use the site in a way that interferes with normal operation, including automated abuse, denial-of-service activity, or unreasonable scraping.
- Attempt to bypass security measures, advertising, or rate limits.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or repackage the tools for distribution as a competing product without permission.
- Use the site for unlawful purposes or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Misrepresent the source or authorship of editorial content from this site.
4. Intellectual property
The design, layout, source code, written articles, and graphics on hexrgb.com are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The site name and logo are the property of hexrgb.com.
You may:
- Use color values produced by the tools (HEX codes, RGB triplets, palettes, etc.) freely in your own work — color values themselves are not copyrightable.
- Quote short passages from articles for review, commentary, or educational purposes with attribution and a link back to the source page.
You may not republish substantial portions of the written content, the underlying source code, or the visual design without prior written permission.
5. Third-party content and links
The site may link to third-party resources (standards documents, opt-out tools, related references). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability. Following an external link is at your own risk.
6. Advertising

We make a reasonable effort to keep the converter, contrast checker, and reference content accurate, but we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any specific use case. For accessibility-critical projects, always validate results against the official WCAG specification and test with real users where possible.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, hexrgb.com and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the site, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
